Where It All Began
Our dad was 14 when his father passed away. Overnight, he became the man of the house. Back then, women in our family didn’t work outside the home—it just wasn’t done. So there he was: a teenager, with a younger brother too small to help and three older sisters to care for. No savings, no safety net. But he had this fire in him. He took odd jobs, sold whatever he could, and worked twice as hard as anyone his age. All to make sure his family never went to bed hungry.

He’d tell us, “Ambition isn’t about wanting more—it’s about doing more for the people you love.”
